This illustration was commissioned to explain how a new process would take place in the engineering department of a well know international engineering company.
Customer briefings were needed to fully understand the concept and “Story”. The illustration was displayed on a 7 meter high wall in the company’s Engineering building to help explain the future plans and educate staff on the process.
The illustration in essence is a pictorial story, explaining the different challenges and obstacles the engineers face in the company, and also how the company plans to help to avoid or overcome them.
Some humour is needed in this style of illustration, and also a clear understanding of the viewers to educate and not patronise.
This illustration was highly appreciated by the direct customer and their company directors, so much that they signed it… I’m not quite sure what to think of that, but hey, I guess it’s a sign of appreciation.
I’ve done many illustrations like this over the years, but only recently showcase them.
