Water supply to building, technical graphic cutaway drawing technical illustration showing utilities in a house

Description:

Illustration showing utilities in a house. This technical illustration was commissioned to promote a new method of water supply for residential homes. It features a simple yet stylish illustration style that captures the essence of a house.

Concept:

The concept revolves around showcasing the water supply system within the house. The illustration cutaway section depicts a generic house with select walls removed to provide a clear view of the water supply areas. The chosen three-quarter view allows viewers to understand the path of the water supply easily.

The final version of the illustration would include text and annotations in multiple languages, making it versatile for various applications.

Styling:

The illustration style is characterised by its cleanliness and monotone colour scheme. This approach creates a soft and muted background that serves as a backdrop for text and the coloured route of the water supply. The use of a minimalist aesthetic ensures that the focus remains on the water supply system and the accompanying information. Produced using SketchUp, a 3d modeling software and then rendered using Podium render software.

Notes:

This style is particularly well-suited for creating a subtle backdrop that complements informative graphics and text. It provides an ideal foundation for incorporating additional elements and details as needed while maintaining a cohesive and visually appealing composition. Perfect compliment to an infographic.
